Famous baby

Everybody wants to take pictures of Olivia! She's famous...LOL

Mini model

Last weekend Sofies very talented friend Rebecca took these amazing pictures of Olivia!

Like I said, absolutely AMAZING!

Olivia & Alexander

When Olivia woke up this morning she screamed "Daddy! I want to play with Alexander today!" And since her wish is my command I arranged a little get together in the park.

They're so cute together it's silly! =)

Playdate

Today Olivia and I have been hanging in the park.

Josefin and Alexander were there as well. I think Olivia likes Alexander, even though she refuses to look at him...lol.

Anyways, I have to jump in the shower and get ready for tonight now. Me & Sofie are going for a romaaaaaaaaantic meal....at McDonalds!

"I can do it by myself"

Olivia sometimes forgets that she's a baby and thinks she can do things that she actually can't. The other day for example she thought she could take of her hoody. All by herself.

It started off alright...

But after a while it was clear to everyone else (i.e me) but her that she was struggling. She couldn't get it off and she couldn't get it back on. I asked her if she wanted help. She declined.

I gave her a couple of minutes and then I asked her again. This time she said: Yes please my dearest, bestest favorite father!

For a good cause

This isn't a baby related blog entry, just thought I'd say that straight away!

I just want to tell eveybody that I'm participating in the Mustasch Campaign to raise awareness of prostate cancer. Apart from donating money (which you also can do by clicking on this link) I have also entered a competition. A mustasch growing competiton! Basically, I've got till the end of the month to grow the coolest mustasch ever!

Here's my "before" picture...

Just imagine what I'm going to look like in acouple of weeks! Hahaha.

Behind the scenes...

Taking the outfit of the day picture isn't always a walk in the park. Sometimes it can be quite a struggle actually...

Example 1.
Me: Smile for the camera sweetie!
Olivia: Noooooooooooo way. And I don't want to sit still either!

Example 2.
Me: Olivia! Look at the camera!
Olivia: No. My hand is waaaay more interesting.

Example 3.
Me: If you listen to daddy this will go so much quicker.
Olivia: Lalalalalala. Can't hear you!

Example 4.
Me: No silly faces please.
Olivia: Whatever dad!

Example 5.
Me: Just one more picture...
Olivia: God damn it man, I've had enough now!

Sleeping song

There is one song that always puts Olivia to sleep.

Thought I'd share it with you all cause it is an amazing song!

Babygroup

After almost 2 hours (!!!) of intense playing I'm knackered!
So is Olivia. She's sleeping like a baby...hahahaha.

Anyways, I promised pictures earlier and since I'm a man of my word please see below.

This is the place were the babygroup is held.

Like I said...there was a lot of playing!
In the middle pic you can see Olivia playing with
her super cute little friend Lee.

And here Olivia is cuddling with one of organisers, Marina.

So, there you have it!

My super special photo montage
of a fun filled day at the babygroup.

Hope you enjoyed it.

A tribute

My dear mother has gotten a tattoo as a tribute to Olivia!

I think it's awesome!

Thank you soooooooooooooooooooooooooo much mum.
It is so cute and I think Olivia is going to think it is really cool when she gets older.

Walking the walk

I think it's only a matter of time before Olivia starts walking.

Just look at her strolling (and posing for the camera at the same time!) with her stroller like she's some kind of professional stroller! She's amazing.

Nightmares

Olivia usually goes to bed at 7-8 o'clock and sleeps all through the night until 8-9 o'clock in the morning. But last night she woke up twice  and cried her eyes out for almost an hour each time. I tried feeding her, I tried changing her nappy, I tried rocking her back to sleep but she just kept crying. When she finally went back to sleep it was purely beacuse she was exhausted from all the crying.

Since Olivia almost never wakes up during the night I started wondering if maybe she'd been having nightmares. But the I thought can babies really have nightmares?

Thanks to the wonder that is google I found a very interesting article about babies and whether or not they actually have nightmares. Check it out here.

Olivia?

In may last year, just a couple of weeks before Olivia was born, I wrote this... http://daddydan.blogg.se/2010/may/photo-fun-for-everyone.html

So, what do you think? Did makemebabies.com get it right? Does this look like Olivia?

I don't think so...

Footballarcade!

Although Olivia is just a baby she understands the importance of football and she would like you to check out this fantastic website.

They have an extensive range of football memorabilia (including signed pictures and football programmes), football souvenirs and football gifts (i.e mugs, key rings, footballs, boot bags, clocks, bedding and so on). They're based in the UK, but deliver to Sweden as well. And if you live in the London area you can visit there shop which is located in the Romford Shopping Hall in...Romford! =)

An interesting fact btw...Olivia was born two days before the world cup so she was introduced to the world of football at a very early age. And she said right from the start that Spain was going to win...she obviously knew what she was talking about! Hahaha.

Beautiful Cry Baby

Today we went to the childrens doctor for a check-up. Usually Olivia is nice and calm when we go there, but today she had a right hissy fit. She just wouldn't stop crying. I could hardly hear what the midwife and Sofie were saying...in fact I don't think I heard a single word. All I could hear was the screaming. We were there for almost 15 minutes and she cried the whole time. And then she cried all the way home. For no apparent reason. It was so frustrating because we had done everything - fed her, burped her, changed her etc - and she still wouldn't stop crying.

But then minute we came home she stopped. Just like that. So who knows, maybe she was homesick. Haha. In fact, all of sudden she was in such a good mood that she agreed to participate in a little photoshoot. On Sofies stomach!

She is so beautiful it's ridiculous! I love heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeer!!!

And to be honest, she doesn't have hissy fits that often. She's actually a quite a happy baby. And she sleeps at least 6 hours every night!

Hello strangers!

It's been a while since I blogged, so I thought it was about time that I posted something. And since this is a daddy blog I'm obviously gonna write about my little angel Olivia!

She is 1 month tomorrow. I can't believe it's been a month since she was born...time really has gone by quickly. Both my Mum and Dad have been here to visit...

Then we celebrated midsummer...

And now I'm off work for 4 weeks. Yay!!! It's going to be amazing. I look forward to spending time with Sofie and Olivia.

Olivia really is amazing. She sleeps through the night, she can already hold her head up...all in all she's a very happy, beautiful and incredible little person. I can't wait until she's a bit older though so I can interact more with her.

Another good thing with Olivia is that she's keeping me fit. She loves to be lifted in her babysitter and, believe you me, lifting her up and down in that thing is a really good work out! Haha. On thaht note...I'm gonna try and make a work out video in the next couple of days, so keep a look out for it!

Olivia in the press

Oh...one more thing! Olivia was featured in the swedish paper Expressen today!

TRANSLATION: The Hiller-Brace family from Södertälje have taken the train into town, to get a glimpse of the royals. They parked there pram in kungsträdgården with little Olivia only 10 days old. The royal Cortage was little Olivias first trip outside of home. "Daniel looks very handsome, and Victoria is so beautiful" says Daddy Daniel Brace. The family has put an Expressen front page on Olivias pram, "it is our way of honouring the bride and groom" says Daniel Brace.
